Basic operation

Once the error has been deleted, if the check shows that the error has not reappeared then the test is over.

Disconnect the connectors for the pretensioners and connect the special line closure resistor.Delete the error and check that it has disappeared using a testing device such as Examiner.If the error disappears, the pretensioner is defective.If the error is still present, check the continuity of the wiring from the control unit comb to the bag connector; there should be no breaks or short circuits.Before replacing the control unit, check that the defect is not in the other pretensioner by running the full test.If there are no faults, the control unit is faulty.
