Before the repair in question, the vehicle should be in the following condition: tail-gate and wing removed, check carried out for deformations in connected elements and adjacent body parts straightened before proceeding.
Removing ( Refitting ) Check if any of the connected parts are deformed by checking body alignment dimensions. Use appropriate measurement tools (reference rigs, templates or gauges).Straighten the body if necessary.1. Reduce the spot welds on the edges of the rear pillar.2. Using a pneumatic saw, cut the upper part of the rear pillar following the cutting lines shown in the diagram.3. Using a pneumatic saw, cut the lower part of the rear pillar following the cutting lines shown in the diagram.
1. Remove the rear pillar trim.2. Use suitable pliers to remove the cut edges from the body.

1. Position the replacement outer trim on the bodyshell and trace the cutting lines on the part.2. Remove the replacement part from the bodyshell and carry out the cuts using a power saw.
Straighten the edges of the panel.Use a grinding wheel to remove cutting residues.1. Use a rotary brush to remove the corrosion-proofing around the edge of the parts.2. Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the edges in contact with the vehicle.
1. Correctly position the replacement part (1a) on the bodyshell and secure it using self-locking clamps (1b).Check it is properly aligned.2. Spot weld along the area shown in the diagram.3. Carry out seam welding in the area shown in the diagram.
Check that the welded parts are correctly positioned.Level the spot welds using a disc grinder.Use a rotary brush to clean the inner parts.Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the parts which have been ground.
When the work is completed, refit the elements removed previously.
