2585276 - 7210L70 rear corner side trim

Removing ( Refitting ) Check if any of the connected parts are deformed by checking body alignment dimensions. Use appropriate measurement tools (reference rigs, templates or gauges).Straighten the body if necessary.
1. Use a pneumatic saw to cut along the cutting line shown in the upper part of the corner trim.2. Use a chamfering machine and drill to reduce the weld spots on the edges of the trim and along the areas of contact with the underlying frame.3. Disengage the corner trim from the underlying sealant applied along the window compartment area.4. Remove the rear corner trim5. Use a hammer and chisel to remove the reinforcement shown
Straighten the edges of the panel.Use a grinding wheel to remove the weld spot residues.Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the parts which have been ground. Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Use a rotary brush to remove the corrosion-proofing around the edge of the parts.2. Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the edges in contact with the vehicle.
1. Correctly position the replacement part (1a) on the bodyshell and secure it using self-locking clamps (1b).Check it is properly aligned.2. Carry out seam welding in the side areas shown in the diagram.3. Spot weld along the outer edge of the lower trim shown in the figure4. Solder along the area shown.5. Re-apply sealant alaong the area of contact between the trim and the window compartment.
Level the spot welds using a grinding wheel and apply galvanised finish to the ground areas.Check that the welded parts are correctly positioned.Level the spot welds using a disc grinder.Use a rotary brush to clean the inner parts.Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the parts which have been ground.
When the work is completed, refit the elements removed previously.
