) Position the power unit on a support, keeping it secured to the hydraulic lift using the chains and secure it suitably so as to be able to work safely.1. Undo the fixing nuts (1a) and disconnect the starter motor electrical supply cables (1b).2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the starter motor (2b).3. Disconnect the electrical connection for the speedometer sensor.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the bell housing to the cylinder block/crankcase.2. Remove the gearbox and differential unit.

Refitting ( Removing

) Fit the gearbox-differential unit to the engine and centre the bell housing using the locating pins.Screw in and then tighten the fixing bolts and nuts to torque.

Screw in the rear flywheel guard retaining bolts.Fit the starter motor to the gearbox.Tighten the bolts to torque.

Renew the electrical wiring connection at the starter motor and the speedometer sensor.
