Removing ( Refitting ) Place the car on a lift.Disconnect the battery negative terminal lead.    Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R..1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the return pipe on the heat exchanger pipe, pushing the element (1a) towards the left, whilst keeping the element (1b) in position; place a container underneath and drain the power assisted steering fluid. 1. Disconnect the connector for the supply pipe on the power assisted steering box.2. Release the pipe from the retaining band. 1. Disconnect the connector for the supply pipe on the power assisted steering pump.Release the pipe from the retaining bands and remove it from the engine compartment. Refitting ( Removing ) Position the pipe on the vehicle and secure it using the retaining bands.Connect the connector for the supply pipe to the power assisted steering pump.

Connect the connector for the supply pipe to the steering box.

Connect the rapid connector for the return pipe to the reservoir.    Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R..Connect the battery negative terminal lead.Remove the car from the lift.Refill the power assisted steering system using appropriate fluid.

The power steering system is self-bleeding; to bleed, turn the steering wheel full lock left and right with the engine running and the vehicle stationary.

After bleeding the air, check the level of the power steering fluid again and top up, as necessary.
