223001620 - E2031 REAR FOG LAMPS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Functional description

The activation signal for the rear fog lamps consists of an earth signal coming from the switch unit H90 and entering at pin 35 of connector F of the body computer M01 . H90 receives a supply for lighting up the panel from the line controlled by the ignition (INT) protected by fuse F49 of the junction unit under the dashboard B02 . When the button H90 is pressed, the body computer M01 lights up the rear light cluster ( F30 for the left hand drive version and F31 for the right hand drive version) via pin 31 connector A if there is a supply from the line controlled by the ignition H01 (INT) and the dipped headlamps on signal which arrives from the steering column switch unit H05 (pin 4 of connector D of the body computer). At the same time, the body computer M01 also controls the switching on of the rear fog lamps warning light located in the instrument panel E50 .The instrument panel E50 receives a supply, via the body computer M01 , through a line controlled by the ignition (pin 1 connector A) protected by fuse F37 of the junction unit under the dashboard B02 and from a line coming directly from the battery (pin 2 connector A) protected by fuse F53 of the junction unit under the dashboard B02 and by fuse F1 of the engine compartment junction unit. Both lines arrive from the body computer M01 ; like the earth line (pin 7 connector A) and the serial lines at pins 4 and 3 of connector A.
