244000535 - 1043AA LPG PUMP OPERATION CHECK

The operation test involves carrying out an overall power uptake test for the following loads:+

  • LPG pump;
  • Solenoid on LPG cylinder
Proceed as follows:

  • With all loads deactivated, measure battery voltage and ensure that no-load voltage is at least 12.8 V. Otherwise charge the battery.
  • Turn the ignition key to the OFF position;
  • Fit an ammeter probe to the battery negative lead.
  • Disconnect the LPG pump current sensor from the connector
  • Connect the connector terminal connected to the current sensor V to the battery +12 V via a bridge with a 15 A fuse interposed.
Check that overall load uptake is:

  • approximately 4 A with the LPG tank empty;
  • approximately 6.5 A with the tank full of LPG.
Switching to LPG is inhibited if current uptake by the LPG pump does not exceed a threshold of4 A, corresponding to tank condition when not empty.
