244001920 - E5030 PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION

Operational Description

The engine management control unit M010 receives a supply controlled by the ignition at pin B4 connector A from the engine compartment junction unit B001 from the line protected by fuse F16 housed inside the actual junction unit. The coil for relay T10 is connected, on one side to the battery by the line protected by fuse F18, and on the other side to the engine management control unit M010, at pin F2 connector B. The latter connection is protected by diode M011. When the relay T10 is energized, the direct battery power supply reaches the control unit M010, at pin A4 connector B and at the relay T09 via the line protected by fuse F21. The control unit M010 operates the relay T09, from pin F3 connector C, that provides the direct battery power supply to the injectors N070 (pin 2), to the ignition coil A030 (pin 4) and to the EPIC fuel pump and gauge N041, via the line protected by fuse F22, to the Lambda sensors K017 (pin 1), K018 (pin 1), to the speedometer sensor K084 (pin 1), to the fuel vapour recovery solenoid valve L010 (pin 2), to the oil vapour heating resistance O007 (pin 1) and to the throttle casing heating resistance O015 (pin1) via the line protected by fuse F11.The engine coolant temperature sensor/sender unit K036 receives a supply, at pin 1, from the control unit M010, pin E4 connector B and sends its own signal from pin 2 to pin D4 connector B of the junction unit. The engine management control unit supplies the detonation sensor K050, from pins C3 and B3 of connector B, whilst pins A2 and A3 of the same connector provide a supply for the air temperature sensor K042. The absolute pressure sensor K048 receives a positive supply from pin C3 connector C of control unit M010, a reference earth from pin A3 connector B and provides its own signal to pin C1 connector C.The engine management control unit M010 is connected to the rpm sensor K046 from pins B1 and B2 connector C.The control unit M010 receives the signals transmitted by the throttle position sensor K056 and the timing sensor K047 from pins B4 and F3 connector B. Both sensors receive a power supply from the actual control unit from pins E1 and A2 connector C.The engine management control unit M010 is connected to the integrated throttle casing actuator N075 by pins E3, D2, D3 and D1 connector C.The control unit M010 is connected to pin 2 of the Lambda sensors K017 and K018 by pins E2 and D2 connector B. Lambda sensor K017 is connected to pins B3 and A3 connector C, whilst Lambda sensor K018 is connected to pins D3 and E3 connector B.The control unit M010 provides the earth reference for the fuel vapour recovery solenoid valve L010 from pin F2 connector C.The engine management control unit M010 operates the injector N070 from pins H3, G2, G, H2 connector C, whilst it manages the ignition coil A030 from pins G3 and H3 connector B.The control unit M010 operates the switching on of the injection system failure warning light, located inside the instrument panel E050, from pin C4 connector A. It manages the switching on of the engine coolant overheating warning light from pin K3 of the same connector. The switching on of the fuel reserve warning light is controlled from pin M3 connector A.The inertia switch I050 is earthed at pin 1. In the case of an impact, the contact opens thereby deactivating the supply of fuel.
