244000501 - K81 AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT OFF / (DO NOT CARRY OUT INITIAL TEST)

The air bag warning light does not come on at start-up (it should come on for 3 seconds to indicate that the initial control unit test has been carried out and then go off)
The warning lights take the form of leds built into the electronic circuit and are NOT therefore replaceable
STEPOPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUTTEST RESULTS
1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Connect the diagnostic test equipment (Examiner or other instruments) to the tester input.Check that the tester communicates properly with the air bag control unit and in particular:

  • for faults in the air bag control unit;
  • the plausibility of all the parameters
Move on to Step1. No communication with the control unit1. Restore:

  • connection between the air bag control unit and diagnostic connector;
  • air bag control unit supply

2. Error detected in the control unit2. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
