) - Position the vehicle on the lift.- Remove the rear wheel.- Working underneath the vehicle, with the help of a jack, slightly raise the rear axle on the side of the leaf spring to be removed.1. Undo the lower shock absorber fixing bolt.2. Undo the nuts fixing the leaf spring to the axle.3. Keep the U-bolts (3a) and the plate (3b).

1. Undo the bolts fixing the leaf spring to the supports and remove them.2. Remove the leaf spring.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Check that the leaf spring is not damaged.- Place the leaf spring in position.- Fit the bolts fixing the leaf springs to the supports and screw in the nuts without tightening them.1. Position the leaf spring (1a) fitting the projection in the housing (1b) on the axle.2. Position the plate (2a) fitting the housing on the leaf spring projection (2b).3. Position the U-bolts.4. Tighten the nuts.

- Refit the rear wheel.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.1. The definitive tightening of the bolt fixing the shock absorber and the leaf springs to the supports should be carried out in the design load conditions. Therefore the vehicle must be suitably loaded over the rear axle so that the distance (L) between the buffer plane and the buffer support plane corresponds to the recommended figure (leaf spring in horizontal position).

- The following loads must be applied in the area of the rear axle to that the correct distance is obtained:- Ducato 10 van and lorry: 850 kg- Ducato 10 panorama: 650 kg- Ducato 14 van: 1100 kg- Ducato 14 lorry: 1200 kg- Ducato Maxi van: 1250 kg- Ducato Maxi lorry: 1400 kg

Given the impossibility of placing a load of 650 kg on the rear seats for the Panorama versions, simply apply of load of around 500 kg in the rear luggage compartment between the third row of seats and the rear doors.

1. Tighten the bolts fixing the leaf springs to the supports.
