- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. See in Op. 1016A101. Disconnect the electrical connector for the timing sensor (1a) and undo the nut fixing the tappet cover to the cylinder head (1b) and remove the cover (1c).

- Replace the tappet cover gasket.- Fit the tappet cover in position.- Tighten the nuts to torque.
