) - Disconnect the negative battery terminal.1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and lift up the passenger compartment carpet (1b).

1. Undo the fixing bolts.2. Remove the protective cover for the submerged pump housing.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the submerged pump.

2. Disconnect the fuel supply and return pipes from the rapid connectors.3. Undo the fixing nuts (3a) and remove the ring nut (3b).4. Raise the submerged pump, release the perimeter seal (4a) from its housing, then remove the fuel pump (4b), complete with level gauge.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Position the fuel pump in its housing in the tank.

Replace the gasket under the fuel tank and take care when refitting to ensure that the gasket is correctly positioned thereby guaranteeing the seal.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the submerged pump ring nut.- Connect the fuel supply and return pipe rapid connectors.- Connect the electrical connection for the fuel pump and level gauge.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the fuel pump protective cover.- Reposition the part of the passenger compartment carpet removed and tighten the fixing bolts.- Connect the negative battery terminal.
