- Position the vehicle on the lift.- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and lift up the passenger compartment carpet (1b).
1. Undo the fixing bolts.2. Remove the protective cover for the submerged pump housing.
1. Disconnect the fuel return pipes from the rapid connector on the pump.
- Raise the vehicle. Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R1. Disconnect the rapid connectors.2. Release the pipe from the fastening springs in the housing on the tank and remove the rear return pipe.
Refitting

- Fit the rear fuel return pipe.- Position the return pipe in the housing on the tank passing it between the bodyshell and the actual tank.- Connect the rapid connectors. Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R- Lower the lift.- Working from inside the passenger compartment, connect the rear return pipe to the rapid connector on the pump.- Fit the protective cover for the submerged pump housing.- Fit the passenger compartment carpet and fasten it to the bodyshell using the fixing bolts.- Connect the negative battery terminal.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
