) - Remove the rear wheel.1. Release the protective boot.2. Undo the brake caliper fixing bolts.

The bolts fixing the brake caliper are self-locking and should always be replaced each time they are undone or loosened.

1. Remove the brake caliper (1a) from the work area taking care not to damage the oil pip (1b).

1. If necessary, remove the brake pads (1), then unto the bolts (1b) and remove the brake back plate (1c).

The bolts fixing the brake back plate are self-locking and should always be replaced each time they are undone or loosened.

1. Undo the bolts.2. Remove the brake disc.

1. The minimum permitted thickness for the brake disc after wear is given below; if the figure is below this, the disc should be replaced.- If there is deterioration or deep grooves, the surfaces of the brake disc can be skimmed using a grinding machine. when the operation is completed the thickness of the brake disc should not be less than the one given below.- Disc with outer diameter of 280 mm or 300 mm and thickness of 16 mm.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Clean the hub flange where the disc is fitted.1. Place the brake disc in position.2. Tighten the fixing bolts to the recommended torque.

1. Check the brake disc non alignment in relation to the rotation axis, this figure should be measured about 2 mm from the outer edge of the disc.

- If removed, position the brake back plate and tighten the new bolts.

- Place the brake caliper and brake pads in position.- Tighten the new brake caliper fixing bolts.- Fit the protective boots.- Refit the wheel.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
