244001301 - 5040C66 AIR CONDITIONER EVAPORATOR - R+R WITH AIR CONDITIONER BOX REMOVED

Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 5040C18 RECIRCULATION AIR INTAKE UNIT RR WITH AIR CONDITIONER BOX REMOVED1. Undo the fixing bolts.2. Remove the rear shield.3. Undo the fixing bolt.4. Remove the side shield.
1. Undo the fixing bolts.2. Remove the relay and wiring mounting bracket under the dashboard.
1. Remove the retaining bands.2. Undo the bolts fixing the tap.- Open the tap control cable retaining spring.3. Disconnect the tap control cable and remove it.4. Remove the tap complete with radiator return pipe.
1. Disconnect the distribution flap control lever from the floor.2. Remove the metal springs.3. Undo the fixing bolts.4. Undo the fixing bolt and move the frost thermostat to the side.5. Remove the upper half casing.
- Remove the insulation from the expansion valve.1. Undo the bolts fixing the expansion valve.2. Remove the air conditioning evaporator.3. Disconnect the frost sensor complete with thermostat and remove it.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Position the frost sensor on the air conditioning evaporator.- Position the air conditioning evaporator and tighten the bolts fixing it to the expansion valve.- Refit the insulation on the expansion valve.- Position the upper half casing and tighten the fixing bolts.- Attach the metal springs.- Connect the distribution flap control lever to the floor.- Position the frost thermostat in the housing in the upper half casing and tighten the fixing bolt.- Connect the tap control cable and secure it to the fastening spring.- Position the tapr and tighten the fixing bolts.- Position the flexible pipe complete with connector for bleeding the cooling system.- Lock the pipes between the heater radiator and the tap using suitable retaining bands.
Check the condition of the seal and replace it if necessary.
- Position the relay and wiring mounting bracket under the dashboard and tighten the fixing bolts.- Position the side shield and tighten the fixing bolt.- Position the rear shield and tighten the fixing bolts.    Op. 5040C18 RECIRCULATION AIR INTAKE UNIT RR WITH AIR CONDITIONER BOX REMOVED
