Operational Description

A direct supply from the battery is sent to gear selector H081 - pin E -, automatic transmission control unit M055 - pin 26 -, ignition switch electromagnet L057 - pin 2 - and multifunction selector H037 - pin 2 -. The line is protected by fuse F23, also located in engine bay junction unit B001.The ignition-operated power supply is supplied to gear selector H037 - pin 1 and automatic transmission control unit M055 - pins 54 and 55 -. The line is protected by fuse F24, also located in engine bay junction unit B001.Automatic transmission control unit M055 consists of a single connector with the following pin-out:the unit receives information on vehicle speed, rpm and transmission fluid temperature from pins 1, 4, 5, 14, 21, 22, 29, 30, 33, 52, 53, 16, 44 and controls solenoids that are built into the unit;pin 6, 28 and 34 supply earth reference C010 - pin 17 -;the unit supplies the vehicle speed signal to instrument panel E050 - pin 15 connector D from pin 27;the unit receives a gear shift command from multifunction switch I081 - pins A, B, C, D - from pins 9, 37, 8 and 36;the unit communicates with speed selector H037 - pins 5, 7 - via pins 82, 83-; at pin 88 the control unit is connected to the diagnostic socketVedereE8010CONNETTORE MULTIPLO DI DIAGNOSIit receives information on front driver door status (closed/open) at pin 19.Engine start-up is enabled on with speed selector I081 in parking position (P). In this situation, an earth connection is provided for relay coil T20. The relay coil is supplied with the key in AVV position (15/54) from a line protected by fuse F16, to supply starter motor A020.Speed selector H037 receives information on vehicle speed from instrument panel E050 - pin 2 connector C - and exchanges information on the CAN network with engine management controlo unit M010 - pins 9 and 10 of connector A -:The unit receives a signal from ignition switch electromagnet L057 at pin 9.The WINTER key on gear selector H037 is used to turn the ASR system on and off.
