The system controls crankcase emissions of vent gases made up of fuel air mixtures and burnt gases that leak through the seals in the piston rings and also lubricant oil vapours by recirculating them to the intake.Vent gases from the crankcase flow through cyclone separator (8) and lose part of their oil content that returns to the sump through pipe (6) in the form of droplets. With the accelerator throttle open, the remaining gases reach air cleaner (4) through pipe (5).With the accelerator throttle closed (engine idling), the vacuum in the intake manifold draws in the gases (in limited quantities) directly through pipe (2) connected to the throttle body.
