The definitive tightening of the nuts fixing the shock absorbers and the leaf springs to the supports should be carried out in design load conditions. Therefore a suitable load must be applied to the vehicle over the rear axle so that distance (L) between the buffer plane and the buffer support plane corresponds to the recommended figure (leaf spring in horizontal position).

To obtain the recommended height, it is necessary to ballast the vehicle in the rear axle area using the following approximate loads.Ducato 10 van and truck: 850 kgDucato 10 panorama: 650 kgDucato 14 van: 1,100 kgDucato 14 truck: 1,200 kgDucato Maxi van: 1,250 kgDucato Maxi truck: 1,400 kg
Given the impossibility of applying a load of 650 kg to the rear seats on the Panorama versions, simply apply a load of 500 kg in the rear luggage compartment between the third row of seats and the rear doors.
