244000836 - 1060F10 FUEL INJECTORS

Removing ( Refitting ) - Disconnect the negative battery terminal.1. Open the fastening bands and release the heater engine coolant pipe from the housing.2. Undo the bolt securing the right rigid pipe.3. Loosen the bolts (3a) fixing the bracket (1b) to the pressure pump support.

These operations should only be carried out for the removal of the 1st cylinder injector.

See in Op. 1060F361. Press the fastening springs (1a) and disconnect the fuel recirculation pipe (1b) from the injectors.2. Undo the bolts fixing the brackets.3. Using the extractor (3a) and the special tool (3b), remove the injectors (3c) from the seats in the camshaft housing.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Check the condition of the injectors.

To improve the operation of the engine and guarantee the emission limits, an injector classification criterion has been introduced. If the injectors are replaced the following must be taken into account:

- Position the injectors complete with brackets.- Tighten the fixing nuts to torque.

- Connect the recirculation pipe springs to the injectors. See in Op. 1060F36

The subsequent operations should only be carried out for the 1st cylinder injector.

- Lock the bolts fixing the bracket to the pressure pump support.- Lock the bolt fixing the rigid coolant recirculation pipe.- Secure the heater engine coolant pipe in place and secure it using the bands.- Connect the negative battery terminal.
