	- If the load proportioning valve has to be replaced, the weight of the rear axle on the ground should be measured and noted.- Position the vehicle on the lift.- Raise the vehicle.1. Working underneath the vehicle, undo the nut and the bolt fixing the load proportioning valve rod to the rear axle.2. Remove the load proportioning valve rod (2a) releasing it from the load proportioning valve body lever (2b).3. Undo the connectors and let the hydraulic fluid drain into a suitable container.4. Undo the bolts (4a) and remove the load proportioning valve casing (4b).

| | The load proportioning valve is supplied complete with a pre-calibrating spacer (1a) which should not be removed throughout the entire fitting stage. |
| | When replacing the regulator make sure that the new component has the same coloured references on the lever and the reaction spring as on the part removed. |

| | If the pre-calibrating spacer is not removed then the load proportioning valve will not work. |

| | In both the cases described above it is advisable, after fitting, to check and, if necessary, calibrate the load proportioning valve (see procedure described for the specific operation). |
