312001899 - 0010T12 ENGINE OIL AND FILTER - REPLACE

Engine oil is harmful to skin: keep contact with skin to a minimum and if there is contact wash with soap and water.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Remove the filler cap with the engine hot.- Release the engine oil dipstick.- Position a suitable container for collecting the used engine oil. 1. Undo the engine oil drain plug on the crankcase sump.

Be very careful when removing the drain plug, the oil could be very hot.

Do not let the oil disperse into the atmosphere as this could cause pollution.

1. Working underneath the vehicle, undo the oil filter assembly and remove it from its housing. - Clean the drain plug and tighten the gasket to the recommended torque. 1. Lubricate the seal with engine oil and fit the new engine oil filter tightening it fully by hand. - Refill the engine lubrication circuit with the correct amount of recommended oil.

- Check that the engine oil level is correct using the dipstick.

The oil level is checked with the vehicle on a flat surface.

- Fit the filler cap, let the engine idle for about 2 minutes, switch off the engine and then wait for several minutes.- Check the oil level and make sure there are no leaks.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
