Gearbox introduction

Depending on the engine type, the vehicle may be equipped with the following gearboxes:

• 1.2 8V and 1.3MJet C514 - 5 speed gearbox
• 1.4 16v C514 - 6 speed gearbox

To improve the operation of the gearboxes, the vehicle makes use of a new twin cable external gearbox control capable of guaranteeing:

• improved insulation against vibration
• improved manoeuvre precision
• quieter operation.

This new generation external control is technologically advanced because of its extensive use of high performance technopolymers, used on the basis of different resistance, weight and self-lubricating capacity properties.
