SPECIFICATIONS
The new internal gear control system, which has 4 selection planes with a central gear positioner on bearings, has the advantage of low hysteresis and consequently a lower gear selection force.The layout of the 4 selection plane gear control makes use of a syringe device on the gear lever knob in the passenger compartment to inhibit the accidental engagement of reverse gear.The solution adopted with bowden cables makes it possible to:
- eliminate the vibrations transmitted by the engine to the gear lever;
- improve the manoeuvrability of the gear control thanks to the reduction of the fitting clearances;
- improve the positioning of the components in the engine compartment for the ideal location of the cables in relation to the rods.
