312000890 - E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS/HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS - DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The left and right direction indicators are switched on by raising or lowering the special lever on the left of the steering wheel interface; the function is active with the key in the MAR position. The hazard warning lights (right and left indicators operated simultaneously) are activated by pressing the special button in the centre of the dashboard. For safety reasons this function is always active. The vehicle is equipped with the Lane Change function: when the lever is placed in the unstable position for less than half a second (lane change), the direction indicator on the side involved flashes 3 times and then goes out automatically.Following sharp braking that leads to a substantial drop in speed, the Body Computer activates the hazard warning lights having received the vehicle speed signal from the ABS control unit. When the deceleration value goes below a certain preset threshold, the Hazard function is automatically deactivated. |
