The fuel pump relay T17 for B001 receives a direct battery supply via the line for fuse F21 of the actual junction unit B001.The coil, connected to the left front earth C010 via pin 50 of connector B of B001, is energized through a positive signal coming from pin 85 of connector A of control unit M010 and provides a power supply for the fuel pump N040.There is no inertia switch on this vehicle; instead, the fuel cut off function is managed by the air bag control unit which, after having detected an impact, sends the FPS signal (Fire Prevention System) to the network which interrupts the flow of fuel via the engine management control unit M010. This condition is also signalled at the instrument panel E050 via the general failure warning light and a dediacted message in the display. The engine management control unit M010 receives signals from the various sensors in order to control all engine service parameters. The engine rpm sensor K046 provides engine rpm information via a frequency signal sent to pins 43 and 59 of connector B of control unit M010.Timing sensor K047 is supplied from pin 25 of connector B of control unit M110; it receives a reference earth from pin 21 of connector B, and sends a frequency signal corresponding to the phase to pin 56 of connector B of the control unit.Engine coolant sensor/sender unit K036 receives a reference earth from pin 29 of connector B of control unit M010 and sends a signal proportional to engine coolant temperature to pin 54 of the control unit. The air flow meter K041, which receives an ignition-controlled supply (15/54) from fuse F87 of junction unit B001 (pin 14 of connector B), receives a reference earth from pin 27 of connector B of control unit M010 and sends a signal proportional to the air flow rate to pin 14 of connector B.An air temperature sensor inside K041 also sends an air temperature signal to pin 10 of connector B of M010 .Accelerator pedal K055 contains two integral potentiometers (a main one and a safety one). The former receives power and earth signals from pins 83 and 35 of connector A of M010 and sends a corresponding signal to pin 65 of the same connector. The latter receives power and earth signals from pins 15 and 32 of connector A of M010 and sends a corresponding signal to pin 41 of the same connector. The water presence in the diesel filter sensor, integrated in the diesel filter K101 (connector A), receives an ignition-controlled supply (15/54) from fuse F87 of junction unit B001 and is earthed via the negative battery terminal A001 (connector B) and sends the corresponding signal to pin 90 of connector A of control unit M010.The fuel temperature sensor, incorporated in the diesel filter K101 (connector B), detects the temperature of the incoming diesel fuel. It receives a reference earth from pin 61 of connector A of control unit M010 and sends a fuel temperature signal to pin 13.The turbocharging sensor K082 measures the pressure in the intake chamber, downstream of the turbocharger. It is supplied by pin 23 of connector B of control unit M010 and receives a reference earth from pin 24 of connector B. The signal corresponding to the pressure value is sent to pin 41 of connector B of control unit M010.Fuel pressure sensor K083 supplies the injection control unit with a feedback signal to modulate injection pressure and duration. It receives power and a reference earth from pins 8 and 6 of connector B of engine control unit M010 and then sends a pressure signal to pin 38 of connector B.Lambda sensor UEGO K040 - PRESENT ONLY IN THE VERSION WITHOUT A PARTICULATE FILTER - sends signals to pins 44, 46 and 47 of connector A of control unit M010 while pin 45 supplies a reference earth. Sensor K040 is heated by a coil to ensure efficient operation even when cold. The resistance receives an ignition-controlled supply (15/54) from fuse F87 of junction unit B001 and an earth signal from pin 12 of connector A of control unit M010.For further details, See descriptions 1080B EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM The fuel pressure regulator N077, located on the pump, controls the high pressure produced by the actual pump: the two control signals, suitably screened, come from pins 4 and 34 of connector B of control unit M010 .EGR solenoid L030 controls exhaust gas recirculation; it is supplied by a line protected by fuse F11 of B001 and is controlled by a signal from pin 15 connector B of control unit M010.The control unit M010 receives - at pin 9 of connector B - a signal for the minimum engine oil pressure sensor K030.Engine management unit M010 controls the opening of the individual injectors N070, via dedicated signals sent from pins 16-47 (cyl.1), 17-49 (cyl.2), 31-48 (cyl.3), 1-46 (cyl.4) of connector B.The heater plugs control unit M015 receives a power supply, at pin 1 of connector A, directly from the battery via the line protected by fuse F81 of the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 24 of connector B) and, at pin 3 of connector B, from the line protected by fuse F11 and operated by the main injection relay T09 both housed in B001. Pin 1 of connector B of M015 is connected to the negative battery terminal A001 (connector B).Control unit M015 exchanges command and control (feeback) signals from pins 2 and 5 of connector B with pins 74 and 70 respectively of connector A of M010 and controls the timed delay.Connector C of M015 is connected to the heater plugs A040.Pin 81 of connector A of control unit M010 receives an NA signal from the switch on brake pedal I030, provided by an ignition-controlled supply (INT) via a line protected by fuse F37 of the Body Computer M001. The latter receives the same signal at pin 27 of connector B.At pin 34 of connector B, the Body Computer M001 receives an NC signal from the switch on brake pedal I030, provided by an ignition-controlled supply (INT) via a line protected by fuse F51 of the Body Computer.
