) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Raise the vehicle.1. Undo the three self locking nuts of the exhaust pipe front section joining flange.

1. Loosen nut (1a) and open metallic fastening band (1b).

1. Remove the rubber mountings from the welded fastening pins on the body.2. Lower the particulate filter and remove the front gasket.3. Slide the particulate filter off the rear pipe and remove it from its housing.

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Check the condition of the particulate filter.2. Check the condition of the rubber mountings; replace them if they are ruined. These components serve as anti-vibration mounts. They are subjected to vibration and high temperatures; if they are worn they can break and therefore compromise the condition of the particulate filter component.

1. Fit the new gasket between the particulate filter and the front section of the exhaust pipe.

- Fit the particulate filter in its housing, positioning the rear part first.- Position the rubber mountings onto the welded pins.- Tighten the nuts securing the flange to the exhaust pipe front section.- Tighten to torque the nut securing the metallic band.

- Lower the vehicle.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
