312002091 - 1060OD HIGH PRESSURE FUEL CIRCUIT CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1High pressure fuel checkConnect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and select the engine control unitSelect the diesel fuel pressure parameterTurn the key to the AVV position for several secondsCheck that the pressure is around 300 bar.Move on to Step 2
2Low pressure system check If the high pressure value is wrong, check:If the tank is empty or the low pressure fuel pump filter is blocked/dirty, if the low pressure pump is defective or the pressure relief valve (built into the pump) is blocked openLow pressure pump relay faulty Fuse blownLow pressure pump wiring interruptedFuel filter blockedLeaks from the low pressure hydraulic circuitOVER-FLOW valve on the filter faultyFill the tank with sufficient fuelReplace the submerged electric pump    Op. 1040A70 SUBMERGED PUMP ASSEMBLY COMPLETE WITH LEVEL GAUGE CONTROL - R + R Replace the relayReplace 15A fuse F21 after finding out what caused it to blow    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT Restore the correct wiring continuityReplace fuel filter [PR_1044B10]Restore the correct system sealReplace the fuel filter    Op. 1044B10 FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY - R + R OR REPLACE
3High pressure system check

Check:

  • There are no fuel leaks in the high pressure circuit
  • Injector/s blocked open or with excessive recirculation
  • Pressure regulator on rail blocked open or with excessive recirculation
  • Rail pressure sensor faulty, value within electrical range but not plausible
  • High pressure pump defective (low efficiency)
Restore the correct system seal.Replace faulty injectorsOp. 1060F10 Replace pressure regulator on rail    Op. 1060G31 FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ON SINGLE MANIFOLD TO INJECTORS - R R Replace the pressure sensor    Op. 1060G28 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ON FUEL MANIFOLD TO INJECTORS - R.R Replace the high pressure pump    Op. 1060E10 DIESEL INJECTION PRESSURE PUMP - R.R.
