) - Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 7040L42 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and place the bonnet release lever (1b) to one side.

This operation should only be carried out if the driver''s front door is being removed.

1. Disconnect the electrical coupling for the front door and release it from the mounting bracket.

1. Release the section of the door electrical wiring (1a) which is connected in the passenger compartment to the remaining wiring via the special opening (1b) in the bodyshell.

- Prepare the equipment for supporting the front door. 1. Undo the bolts (1a), bodyshell side for the door check strap (1b).- Carry out the same operation on the remaining door hinges.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the fixed/moving hinges join.

- Remove the front door.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Fit the front door in place. 1. Tighten the bolt fixing the fixed/moving hinges join to the recommended torque.- Carry out the same operation on the remaining door hinges.

1. Tighten the bodyshell side bolt (1a) fixing the door check strap (1b) to the recommended torque.

- Remove the equipment for supporting the front door. 1. Reposition the section of the door electrical wiring (1a) which is connected in the passenger compartment to the remaining wiring via the special opening (1b) in the bodyshell.

1. Connect the electrical coupling for the front door and fit it to the mounting bracket.

- Place the bonnet release lever in position and tighten the fixing bolts.

This operation should only be carried out if the driver''s front door is being refitted.

Op. 7040L42 - Connect the negative battery terminal.

-	Battery	See A001 BATTERY

The alignment operation is only necessary if the front door is being replaced with a new one. If this is not the case, the operation should not be carried out because the door was dismantled separating the moving hinges from the fixed hinges.
