Before removing and refitting the Air Bag module the following preliminary operations must be carried out.Position the vehicle with the front wheels straight.Turn the ignition key to the STOP position and extract it.Disconnect the battery terminals and insulate them.Wait for 10 minutes before continuing.

Disconnect the electrical connections for the side air bag.

1. Undo front bolts securing the whole backrest to the front seat frame.2. Take down the backrest assembly and release hole (2a) from welded pin (2b) located on the guides.3. Remove the backrest assembly from the vehicle.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Check the condition of the backrest assembly.- Fit the backrest assembly, positioning the holes over the guide pins.- Roll the backrest forward until it is aligned with the bolt openings.- Tighten the front bolts securing the backrest assembly to the front seat frame. 1. Connect the electrical connection for the side bag.
