Refitting

Before removing and refitting the Air Bag module the following preliminary operations must be carried out.Position the vehicle with the front wheels straight.Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and extract it.Disconnect the battery leads and insulate them.Wait for 10 minutes before continuing.

FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:    Op. 5580C AIR BAG SYSTEM

    Op. 7045A10 FRONT SEAT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. 1. Release the base of the trim (1a) and release the handles (1b) for the backrest cushion cover.

1. Release the side bag retaining band.

1. Cut the retaining seals (1a) and release the cover (1b) from the backrest.2. If necessary, remove the upholstery.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the cover is intact and does not show signs of deterioration or cuts.- Fit the cover onto the upholstery.- Attach the side bag retaining band.- Using special pliers, attach the new clips in the area where the cover and upholstery are joined.

- Attach the cover handles.- Mould the cover on the upholstery taking care that the fabric is taut and not creased.    Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045A10 FRONT SEAT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. - Connect the battery terminals.
