Removing ( Refitting ) Op. 7210E18 R.R. FRONT WING Op. 7210E36 R.R. FRONT SIDE DOOR - Ensure that the components connected are not distorted by checking the body alignment measurements with suitable equipment (reference rigs, templates or gauges).- Straighten the body as necessary.
- Work in the lower area of the underdoor side member.
1. Using a saw, cut the underdoor side member trim in the area shown in the diagram along its entire length.
1. Cut the underdoor sidemember trim in the area shown in the diagram using a saw.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds.2. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.3. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds, then remove the side member trim.
- Work in the lower area of the underdoor sidemember along its entire length.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds.
1. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.2. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.- Remove the metal offcut.
- Straighten the edges of the vehicle using a hammer and dolly block.- Remove the spot weld residues using a disc grinder.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously treated areas.
1. Apply electro-weldable paint to the area shown in the diagram.

- Cut the replacement part as shown in the diagram using a saw.
1. Drill out the part at the indicated points.
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the areas shown using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
- Position the replacement part correctly on the vehicle and secure it using self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment.
1. Use a MIG welder and seam weld in the areas shown in the diagram.2. Fill weld in the areas shown using a MIG welder3. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.
- Work in the lower area of the underdoor side member.

- Correct any distortions to the panel using a mallet and dolly block.- Use a disc grinder to level the welding.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously welded areas.- Apply rustproofing to the areas involved in the welding.- Seal the join lines between the replacement part and the vehicle.
