Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on the lift.- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

    Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.     Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R     Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R 1. Open retaining springs (1a) and disengage gear selection/engagement links/cables (1b) from underbody.
1. Prise up the gear selection cable head.2. Prise up the gear engagement cable head.3. Remove retaining clips (3a) and disengage links/cables from gearbox mounting bracket (3b).
Working from inside the passenger compartment:- Remove both console side closures:    Op. 7040A65 CONSOLE SIDE CLOSING (ONE) - R.R.    Op. 7040A28 TRIM ON GEARBOX CONTROL PANEL - R.R.     Op. 2125C22 GEAR LEVER AND SUPPORT - R.R.     Op. 7040A89 REINFORCEMENT BRACKET BETWEEN DASHBOARD SUPPORTING CROSSMEMER AND BODYSHELL - R.R. 1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove lower right side air duct (1b).
1. Release the rubber seal.2. Working from inside the vehicle, take off and remove the gear engagement and selection control links/cables.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Working from the inside of the passenger compartment, arrange the gear selection and engagement links/cables in the opening formed on the floor pan and fit the rubber seal.- Fit right side lower air duct and tighten the screws.    Op. 7040A89 REINFORCEMENT BRACKET BETWEEN DASHBOARD SUPPORTING CROSSMEMER AND BODYSHELL - R.R.    Op. 2125C22 GEAR LEVER AND SUPPORT - R.R.     Op. 7040A28 TRIM ON GEARBOX CONTROL PANEL - R.R. - Remove both console side closures:    Op. 7040A65 CONSOLE SIDE CLOSING (ONE) - R.R.- Engage the links/cables to the mounting bracket on the gearbox and secure with the retaining clips.- Connect the head of the gear engagement and selection control links/cables to the linkages on the gearbox.- Engage gear selection and engagement links/cables to the underbody retaining clips.    Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R     Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R     Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R. - Connect the negative battery terminal.
