SPECIFICATIONS

The new internal gear control system, which has 4 selection planes with a central gear positioner on bearings, has the advantage of low hysteresis and consequently a lower gear selection force.The layout of the 4 selection plane gear control makes use of a syringe device on the gear lever knob in the passenger compartment to inhibit the accidental engagement of reverse gear.

The solution adopted with bowden cables makes it possible to:

  • eliminate the vibrations transmitted by the engine to the gear lever;
  • improve the manoeuvrability of the gear control thanks to the reduction of the fitting clearances;
  • improve the positioning of the components in the engine compartment for the ideal location of the cables in relation to the rods.
One of the two cables is for gear selection and the other for gear engagement.
