The electromechanical horn has the following specifications:

  • rated voltage: 12V
  • current uptake: <= 6 A
  • sound level: 105 - 118 dB/A
  • frequency: 400 ± 20 Hz

OPERATION

The pressure exerted on the centre cover of the steering wheel, compresses one of three springs, located in the rear part of the AirBag module, which closes the circuit to earth via a copper contact.View of the horn control circuit
