FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The earths listed below are present on the vehicle and are categorised according to their relationship with the various wires.Battery negative wiring:

• battery negative, A001 A (on battery negative terminal block)
• battery earth on engine, C002 (on the gearbox, connected to the body via a braid)
• battery earth on body, C003 A (direct connection to battery negative) and C003 B (on the body, connected to the gearbox via a braid)

Front wiring:

• battery negative, A001 B (on the terminal block; injection system -1.4 petrol and 1.3 Multijet engines-)
• battery negative, A001 C (on the terminal block; electric steering)
• left front earth, C010
• ABS front earth, C012
• heater/air conditioning unit earth, C016
• radiator fan earth, C045

Dashboard wiring:

• driver-side dashboard earth, C015
• Air Bag system earth, C050 A (control unit)

Rear wiring:

• left rear earth, C030 A and C030 B
• right rear earth, C031
• heated rear windscreen earth, C032
• Air Bag system earth, C050 B (Side Bag)

Engine wiring:

• compressor earth, C039 (1.2 and 1.4 petrol engines)
• earth on engine, C040 A and C040 B (1.2 petrol engine)
• earth on engine, C040 (1.4 petrol engine)
• injection control unit earth, C060 (1.2 petrol and 1.3 Multijet engines)
