Disconnect the negative battery cable.Disconnect 15A fuse F21 in the engine compartment control unit (as shown in Fig. 1)Reconnect the battery negative terminal, then start the engine to release the fuel pressure in the supply pipe.Reconnect 15A fuse F21Connect connector N.° 1870684000 to the quick coupling on the fuel distribution manifold, connect tool N.°1870885001 (housed in case N.° 1870885000) to the connector and to this connect fuel pressure Kit EX07 (housed in case N.° 1806338000); connect 5 bar pressure transducer EX06 and arrange the valves (as shown in Fig.2)Turn the ignition key to the MAR position.Within 10 seconds check that the pressure reading on the Examiner is around 3.5 barStart the engine, let it run and check that the pressure is 3.5 +/- 0.1 barSwitch off the engine and disconnect the negative battery terminalDisconnect 15A fuse F21.Reconnect the battery negative terminal, then start the engine to release the fuel pressure in the supply pipe.Disconnect the quick coupling from the fuel distribution manifold.Reconnect 15A fuse F21 and the negative battery terminal. | The fuel pump in the tank should switch off after a few seconds. |
