312002059 - 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE

Follow the safety instructions
    Op. 5040 AIR CONDITIONING CASING AND COMPONENTS - Let the engine run with the air conditioning on for 10 - 15 minutes. 1. Undo the caps on the high and low pressure pipes conected to the compressor.
1. Connect the station high and low pressure pipes to the respective compressor pipes.
For increased safety, the station pipes'' quick couplings have a different diameter in relation to high and low pressure. The high pressure pipe has a lower diameter than the low pressure pipe.
- Start the procedure for discharging the coolant fluid, following the instructions in the equipment manual. - Refill the system with exactly the same amount of fluid indicated on the container.

In the case of operations that involve replacing some system components, special oil must be added, in the quantities indicated below, before refitting:

  • Pipes: 5 cm3/m;
  • Evaporator: 40 cm3;
  • Condenser with integrated filter: 50 cm3;
If there are accidental breaks that cause the "rapid" draining of the system (in less than 5 minutes) the exact amount of fluid that comes out cannot be determined because the high pressure may cause seepage. Add 75 cm3 of oil.
- Start the procedure for repressurizing the refrigerant fluid, following the instructions in the equipment manual.- Add the recommended quantity of coolant.

- If there is damage to the compressor or other system components or following prolonged exposure of the pipes to the air (more than 6 hours) the WASHING procedure must be carried out as follows.- Clean the pipes connected to the compressor using a jet of air.
Use filtered air to prevent the introduction of foreign bodies into the system.
- Connect the (drained) system to the repressurizing station.- Introduce the recommended quantity of coolant at the high pressure side.- Collect the coolant at the low pressure side.- Repeat the introduction and collection of fluid.- Proceed with draining and repressurizing the system as illustrated previously.
