- Position the driveshaft in a vice fitted with protective jaws.
1. Remove the gaiter retaining bands and retract it.2. Remove retaining ring (2a) and then release constant velocity joint (2b).3. Remove the protective gaiter.

- Wash the constant velocity joint components thoroughly and visually check that there are no signs of seizing or grooves on the balls or seats.- Position the new protective gaiter on the driveshaft.- Place the constant velocity joint back in its housing and secure it using the retaining ring.- Place the protective gaiter in position, then fill it with the recommended grease.| Component | Type | Description | Classification | Quantity | Validity |
