FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The door and luggage compartment locking/unlocking function is managed by the Body Computer.Body Computer M001 receives the following inputs:
lock/unlock signals from the aerial-receiver of remote control unit P093, which is connected to pins 46 (signal) and 31 (earth) of connector F;
lock/unlock signals from the key pawl in driver-side door lock geared motor N050 (pin 3), at pin 51 of connector B;
lock/unlock signals from the key pawl in passenger-side door lock geared motor N051 (pin 3), at pin 24 of connector B;
the tailgate opening control signal from the number plate lights unit and luggage compartment opening exterior switch F055 (pin 2), at pin 38 of connector F.
Body Computer M001 receives the door open negative input signals respectively:
at pin 54 of connector B (driver-side front door, via the internal contact at geared motor N050 - pin 5 -);
at pin 53 of connector B (passenger-side front door, via the internal contact at geared motor N051 - pin 5 -);
Body Computer M001 receives the earth signal coming from the switch inside luggage compartment lock geared motor N057 (pin 2), at pin 39 of connector F. This is an NC signal: signal present indicates luggage compartment closed, signal absent indicates luggage compartment open. This last condition causes luggage compartment courtesy light G040 to light. See E2520 GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - SUN VISOR LIGHTBody Computer M001 receives a direct battery power supply (pin 1 of connector A) protected by fuse F01 in engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 18 of connector B); it also receives an ignition-operated power supply (INT) at pin 11 of connector E.Body Computer M001 is also connected to driver-side dashboard earth C015 via pins 9 and 10 of connector E.According to the control logic illustrated, Body Computer M001 controls the geared motors for the door locks: the common power supply is sent to the motors (pin 1) from pin 16 of connector C; the locking/unlocking motors (L/U) for driver-side N050 and passenger-side N051 (pin 4) door locks are operated from pin 31 of connector C.Body Computer M001 is connected via the B-CAN line to instrument panel E050 (pins 5 and 6), from pins 18 and 20 of connector D, to manage the doors open warning light and associated warning buzzer.
