The adjustment of the orientation of the headlamp light beam according to the load is carried out by means of a regulating device (located inside the main headlamps), which tilts them appropriately, lowering the light beam if the vehicle is heavily laden and raising it if the load lessens.The headlamp alignment correction system can only be activated with the ignition key in the MAR position and the dipped beam headlamps switched on.Two buttons to the right of the instrument panel allow the headlamp alignment to be adjusted, allowing the vertical orientation to be changed between 4 predefined positions (from 0 to 3):
position 0: one or two people on the front seats (vehicle in driving order);
position 1: four people;
position 2: four people with load in the luggage compartment;
position 3: driver with maximum permitted load all stowed in the luggage compartment (full load);
The special relay built into the Body Computer that controls the activation of the dipped beams also supplies the adjustment motors built into the main headlights.The circuit is protected by a dedicated fuse also located in the Body Computer.The instrument panel display shows the position in relation to the adjustment set.
