) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 5050B34 WINDSCREEN WIPER ARM/S COMPLETE WITH BLADE - R+R Op. 7210E22 R.R. WINDSCREEN BASE TRIM - Proceed with removing the front wheel depending on the spring/shock absorber assembly to be removed. Op. 4450B02 LEFT FRONT WHEEL - R.R - or Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R 1. Undo the fixing nut (1a) and remove the mounting (1b) underneath.

Before undoing the nut (1a), insert the spanner correctly right into the hexagonal groove.

1. Release the flexible pipe (1a) for the hydraulic braking system and the electrical wiring (1b) for the front wheel rpm sensor from the bracket (1c) on the spring/shock absorber assembly.

The electrical wiring for the front brake pad wear sensor must be released from the retaining clip for the left spring/shock absorber assembly.

1. Undo the bolts securing the wheel hub to the steering knuckle.- Remove the spring/shock absorber assembly.

1. Position the spring/shock absorber assembly (1a) on the pneumatic spring compression tool (1b).

2. Undo the nut (2a) and remove the buffer (2b).

- Unload the spring and remove the shock absorber-spring assembly from the tool. 1. Remove the dust cover (1a), the spring (1b) and the end of travel buffer (1c) for the shock absorber (1d).

Refitting ( Removing

) - Assemble the end of travel buffer, the spring and the dust cover on the shock absorber. 1. Position the spring/shock absorber assembly (1a) on the pneumatic spring compression tool (1b).

2. Fit the buffer (2a) and tighten the retaining nut (2b) to the recommended torque.

- Fit the spring/shock absorber assembly. 1. Tighten the bolts fixing the wheel hub to the steering knuckle to the recommended torque.

- Secure the flexible pipe for the hydraulic braking system and the electrical wiring for the front wheel rpm sensor to the bracket on the spring/shock absorber assembly.

The electrical wiring for the front brake pad wear sensor must be secured to the retaining clip for the left spring/shock absorber assembly.

1. Fit the mounting in place.2. Using the special tool, tighten the nut fixing the spring/shock absorber assembly to the turret to the recommended torque.

- Proceed with refitting the front wheel depending on the spring/shock absorber assembly removed. Op. 4450B02 LEFT FRONT WHEEL - R.R - or Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R Op. 7210E22 R.R. WINDSCREEN BASE TRIM Op. 5050B34 WINDSCREEN WIPER ARM/S COMPLETE WITH BLADE - R+R - Connect the negative battery terminal.
