Removing ( Refitting ) Op. 7210E28 R.R. ROOF PANEL Op. 7210B18 R.R. ROOF PANEL SUPPORTING CROSSMEMBER Op. 7210E34 R.R. ROOF PANEL/SIDE PANEL CONNECTION PROFILE-MOULDING Op. 7210E52 R.R. REAR WING - Ensure that the components connected are not distorted by checking the body alignment measurements with suitable equipment (reference rigs, templates or gauges).- Straighten the body as necessary.
1. Use a jigsaw, following the cutting lines shown in the diagram.
- Work on the lower part of the pillar.
1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.2. Use the chamfering machine to remove the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered points.
- Work on the upper outer part of the pillar.
1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered points.
- Work on the upper interior part of the pillar.
1. Use a grinder to remove the seam welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously ground spot welds.
1. Use the chamfering machine to remove the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.2. Use the drill and chamfer the spot welds not accessible with the chamfering machine.3. Remove the pillar (inner part and outer part).
- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds on the trimming.
1. Use the chamfering machine to remove the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.2. Remove the panel trimming from the vehicle.
- Straighten the edges of the vehicle using a hammer and dolly block.- Remove the spot weld residues using a disc grinder.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously treated areas.
1. Apply electro-weldable paint.

1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the entire perimeter of the outside of the inner replacement part using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the inside of the inner replacement part using a rotary brush along the perimeter shown.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
1. Position the inner replacement part correctly on the vehicle and secure it using self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment and surrounding gaps.2. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.
- Work on the upper interior part of the pillar.
1. Use a seam welder to fill-weld the openings shown in the diagram.
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the outside of the outer replacement part using a rotary brush along the perimeter shown.2. Drill out the part at the indicated points.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the entire perimeter of the inside of the outer replacement part using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
1. Position the outer replacement part correctly on the vehicle and secure it using self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment and surrounding gaps.2. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram
- Work on the lower outer part of the pillar reinforcement.
1. Use a seam welder to fill-weld the openings shown in the diagram.2. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram
- Work on the upper part of the pillar reinforcement.
1. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram
- Work on the lower outer part of the pillar reinforcement.
1. Use a seam welder to fill-weld the openings shown in the diagram.
