Raising the handbrake lever pulls a flexible cable connected to a rocker. The movement of the rocker, which has the function of balancing and distributing the traction force between the two flexible rods secured to it, controls the action of the levers on the rear brakes, thereby implementing the engagement of the handbrake. There is a threaded end on the flexible cable between the two front seats connected to the lever itself to allow the adjustment of the control lever travel from inside the vehicle. The moment the handbrake is raised, the switch turns on the warning light in the instrument panel to signal that the handbrake is applied. The handbrake lever remains applied, by means of the special toothed sector which prevents the lever from being lowered. The release button releases the lever. The tension of the rods on the levers can be slackened and the handbrake released through the action of the return springs.
