Electric windows operation

On the basis of the signals received from the switches, the Body Computer manages the function in accordance with the following logic:

• if the button is pressed for between 50 and 300 milliseconds, operation is manual: the glass goes up/down only with the button pressed;
• f the button is pressed for longer than 300 milliseconds, operation is automatic: even if the button is released, the window continues to close/open until it is in the end of travel position;
• pressing the button again whilst the window is moving stops it in the position it is in;
• if the button is pressed for less than 50 milliseconds, this is ignored (it is treated as an accidental knock).

The passenger side window only operates automatically for opening.The electric window function operates only with the ignition on, with the following exception: after a key off (ignition OFF or key extracted) the windows can be operated for a period of 3 minutes; when this period has elapsed, the system no longer acquires new commands. If one of the doors is opened during the timed period, new commands are longer acquired, but any commands received before the opening of the door are brought to a conclusion. If one of the doors is already open at the key off, any commands received before the opening of the door are brought to a conclusion.The window raising/lowering circuit, operated by the two relays integrated in the Body Computer, is supplied by the line protected by two dedicated fuses in the actual Body Computer. The circuit is excluded during starting.On this version the control electronics for the electric windows does not include an anti-crush safety function. Therefore before and during operation it is necessary to make sure that there is no risk of exposing the passengers to injury due directly to the movement of the windows or from objects dragged along or projected by them.The following figure shows the window opening mechanism.1.
