Introduction
All the vehicle interior trims, designed to satisfy the most stringent international standards governing flammability, are slow burning, do not ignite through accidental contact (for example if a cigarette is dropped), do not develop flames and, in the presence of severe overheating, are subject to combustion that produces strong, dense smoke. The design of the dashboard and the surrounding trims is aimed at producing a high level of comfort and a high degree of passive safety, achieved by eliminating all projections which could be dangerous to the occupants of the vehicle in the case of an impact.The symbols for the correct use of child seats when a passenger air bag is fitted can be found on the inside of the passenger side sun visor.Front courtesy light
The front interior light is in the form of a rocker switch and contains a courtesy light.The interior light is switched on/off as follows:
- right side pressed: light permanently on
- left side pressed: light always off
- centre position (neutral): the light comes on and goes out when the doors are opened or closed.
The courtesy light operation is timed according to a logic managed by the Body Computer. More specifically:
- when any one of the doors is opened it comes on for 3 minutes. The timer is reactivated each time a door is opened;
- when all the doors are closed; the lights stay on for a further 10 seconds with the key off. This time is interrupted if the key is turned to the ON position: in this case, the courtesy light is turned off immediately;
- when all the doors are closed with the ignition ON, the courtesy lights is immediately switched off;
- when the key is removed, the courtesy light comes on and a 10 second timer is activated;
- the courtesy light goes out immediately when there is a door locking command from the key or the remote control (if present);
- when there is a door unlocking command from the key or the remote control (if present), the courtesy light is turned on and a 10 second timer is activated.
