Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the connecting rod-piston assembly in a vice fitted with protective jaws.1. Remove the seals (1a) from the piston using the tool (1b).
1. Position the connecting rod-piston assembly on the support (1a) complete with adaptor (1b).

2. Extract the gudgeon pin (2b) from the small end using the tool (2a) on the hydraulic press.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Heat the connecting rod in an oven to a temperature of around 240 °C to allow the fitting of the gudgeon pin.1. Join the connecting rod to the piston so that the gudgeon pin offset is facing the number stamped on the big end.
1. Place the connecting rod support tool in a vice.

2. Fit the connecting rod and cap on the tool positioned previously in the vice.3. Fit the piston on the connecting rod.4. Fit the gudgeon pin (4a) using the fitting tool (4b).

- Remove the connecting rod-piston assembly from the support and place it in a vice fitted with protective jaws.- Fit the seals on the piston using a suitable tool.
All the seals are fitted with the word TOP upwards.
When the fitting is completed, position the references on the piston rings so that they are not aligned with the gudgeon pin axis and are 120° offset from one another.
