312002419 - 1820A14 CLUTCH PEDAL - ADJUST TRAVEL

- Let the clutch pedal bed in by pressing it to the end of travel position at least 4 or 5 times.1. Measure the maximum pedal (1c) travel (1c) using a metal rule (1a).

The pedal travels corresponds to the distance between the pedal in the end of travel position and the pedal completely released. The travel is measured at the pedal centre line. A force of at least 15 daN must be applied to move the pedal.

- If the value measured differs from the recommended figure, adjust the flexible cable.2. Tighten or loosen the adjustment nut and adjust the pedal travel to 115 mm.- Let the clutch pedal bed in by pressing it fully at least 4 or 5 times and check that the travel is within the recommended figure given below.

Whilst it is being fitted or adjusted, the clutch release cable should not be bent in such a way that would permanently distort the cable or the outer casing and prevent it from working properly. The correct position of the clutch pedal is determined solely by the travel and NOT by its position in relation to the other pedals.

- Let the clutch pedal bed in by depressing it fully at least 4 or 5 times.- Check the clutch pedal travel once again.
