312002543 - 7005A14 FRONT SIDE DOOR - ADJUST CENTERING AND MOULDING - INCLUDES ADAPTATION OF HINGES AND SEALS ON DOOR COMPARTMENT

Visually inspect for any irregularities in the opening between the door and the front wing and between the door and the centre pillar.

1. Unscrew the bolt (1a), bodyshell side fixing the door opening limiter, close the door and open it again to return the link (1b). - To adjust the door from inside the door housing in a lengthwise and vertical direction, work on the hinges fixed to the bodyshell. The dashboard supporting crossmember must therefore be removed including all the preliminary operations.    Op. 7210A74 R R FACIA SUPPORT BEAM 1. Loosen the bolts (1a) fixing the hinges, bodyshell side (1b).

It is advisable to work on the hinges one at a time in order to make the adjustment of the door quicker and more precise.

- Adjust the position of the door inside the door housing using the slots for the openings for the bodyshell side hinge fixing bolts. 1. When the adjustment is complete, tighten the bolts (1a) securing the bodyshell side hinges (1b) to the recommended torque.

- For the adjustment of the door in relation to the front wing and the centre pillar, work on the hinges secured to the door. These hinges allow the transverse adjustment of the door and the adjustment of its inclination. 1. Loosen the bolts (1a) fixing the door side hinges (1b).

It is advisable to work on the hinges one at a time in order to make the adjustment of the door quicker and more precise.

- Adjust the position of the door in relation to the front wing and the centre pillar using the slots for the openings for the door side hinge fixing bolts. 1. When the adjustment is complete, tighten the bolt (1a) securing the door side hinges (1b) to the recommended torque.

- To adjust the door to the door housing seal and to adjust the closing, work on the striker. 1. Loosen the bolts (1a) fixing the striker (1b). 1. Place the front door lock striker in position and screw in the fixing bolts without tightening them.2. Move the striker into the correct position, using the slotted openings in the actual striker.3. The arrows indicate the possible movements for the adjustment.- When the adjustment has been completed, tighten the bolts fixing the striker to the recommended torque.

- Check that the door is correctly positioned and check the closing.- Refit the dashboard supporting crossmember and carry out the preliminary operations with reference to the following procedure:    Op. 7210A74 R R FACIA SUPPORT BEAM 1. Tighten the bolt (1a) fixing the door check strap to the recommended torque.
