Removing ( Refitting )

Before working on the Air Bag system, follow the safety instructions for working on the system very carefully.

    Op. 5580C AIR BAG SYSTEM - Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

-	Battery	See A001 BATTERY

- Retract the seat fully. 1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the driver''s front seat.

1	Driver''s seat coupling	See D070 DRIVER'S SEAT COUPLING

2. Undo the front bolts fastening the front seat guides. - Move the seat forward. 1. Undo the rear outer guide fixing bolts. 1. Undo the rear inner guide fixing bolt. - Remove the front driver''s seat.- If the operation was on the passenger seat, complete the dismantling operation as follows: 1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the front passenger seat.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the front driver''s seat in position.- Move the seat forward.- Tighten the inner guide rear fixing bolt to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the outer guide rear fixing bolts to the recommended torque.

- Retract the seat fully. 1. Connect the electrical connections for the front seat.

2. Tighten the front bolts fixing the front seat guides to the recommended torque.

- If the operation was on the passenger seat, complete the reassembly operation as follows:- Connect the electrical connections for the front passenger seat.
