Refitting

Before removing and refitting the Air Bag module the following preliminary operations must be carried out.Position the vehicle with the front wheels straight.Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and extract it.Disconnect the battery leads and insulate them.Wait for 10 minutes before continuing.

FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:    Op. 5580C AIR BAG SYSTEM

1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the side bag (1a) and the seat belt (1b).

1. Undo the bolts fixing the cushion assembly to the front seat frame.2. Move the cushion assembly forward until the rear fastenings (2a) are released, then raise the cushion complete with cover and upholstery (2b).

1. Remove the rivets (1a) using a drill and remove the seat position memory device.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Check the condition of the cushion and upholstery assembly and the rear plastic fastening devices.- Fit the seat position memory device in position using new rivets.- Fit the cushion assembly placing the rear fastening devices in the housing on the front seat frame.- Tighten the bolts fixing the cushion assembly to the front seat frame. 1. Connect the electrical connections for the side bag (1a) and the seat belt (1b).

- Connect the battery terminals.
